Photo Hunters Competition for Photography and a Prize of $1,000

Photo Hunters Association invites photographers from all ages and countries to participate in the Photo Hunters International Circuit for 2018 by sending digital photographs with the following themes:

[1]  Color Open (PID – C)

[2] Monochrome Open (PID – M)

[3] People (PID)

[4] Nature (ND)

[5] Photo Travel (PTD)

Competition rules:

[1] Each participant can enter up to 4 images per section

[2] Digital image format must be 8-bit JPEG, sRGB color profile, with a maximum width (horizontal) of 1024 pixels and a maximum height (vertical) of 768 pixels in 300dpi. The file size of the image must not exceed 1MB

[3] Titles should not be more than 35 characters

[4] For the digital imaging section, images may be acquired digitally, or scanned from traditional film to create a digital file. Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise by the maker, if the photographic content predominates, subject to Nature, Photo Travel, and Photojournalism divisional restrictions

[5] No title or identification of the maker shall be visible anywhere on the face of the image

[6] Each participant owns the copyright of the submitted images and certifies the work as his/her own. He/she also permits the organizers to reproduce the entered material free of charge for promotional purposes related to the contest, like use in catalogue and website

[7] Words such as “Untitled” and “No Title” are not acceptable as part or all of an image’s title, nor are camera capture file names

[8] Techniques that remove elements added by the camera, such as dust spots, digital noise, and film scratches, are allowed

[9] Stitched images are not permitted, as all allowed adjustments must appear natural to the viewer

[10] Color images can be converted to greyscale monochrome

[11] Infrared images, either direct-captures or derivations, are not allowed

Prizes:

[1] $1,000 in cash for a single image selected from all sections

[2] All awarded images will be exhibited on the website

[3] Fifteen PSA Gold medal (1 per section)

[4] Fifteen Photo Hunters Gold medal (1 per section)

[5] Sixty Photo Hunters Chairman’s Choice (4 per section)

[6] Sixty Photo Hunters Merit Award (4 per section)

[7] Thirty Photo Hunters Honorable mention (2 per section)
