Opportunity description
PowerCoders, a coding academy for refugees, is looking for motivated individuals with a special talent in IT and an interest in participation in PowerCoders coding program in Lausanne, starting in April 2018. The ultimate goal of the Powercoders is the permanent placement of trained refugees in IT-companies and IT-departments in Switzerland. The program is primarily meant for refugees (status B and F) but also other migrants are eligible to apply. Participants must be fluent in English and have a good basic knowledge in IT.
The program offers a three-month intensive programming course, additional support for laptop, food and transportation where needed, a mentoring program, and access to an internship between 3 to 12 months. Only 20 applicants will be selected to take part in this program and will be invited for an interview.
