Opportunity description
The World Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) invites students with a Master’s degree of Science to apply for a funded PhD fellowship that aims for the advancement of science in developing countries. The opportunity will either take place at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) or the institutes of CAS around China for up to 4 years. Applicants should not hold Chinese citizenship or be currently pursuing a degree in China, and can’t apply for both UCAS and USTC at the same time. Proof of knowledge of English or Chinese is a requirement.
The fellowship covers tuition fees and a monthly stipend of RMB 7,000-8,000.
