Opportunity description
The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) offers an annual award, generously provided by professor Fayzah M. Al-Kharafi, that recognizes women scientists from Scientifically and Technologically Lagging (STL) countries. Nominations for 2018 are accepted for either agricultural sciences or biology. Nominees must be female scientists national of an ST-lagging country and have been living and working there for at least two years immediately prior to their nomination. The list of countries includes Comoros, Mauritania, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen.
The award’s value is $4,000.
