Persephone Miel Fellowship provided by Pulitzer Center in collaboration with Internews is a unique opportunity for all journalists from the developing world assisting them to do the kind of reporting they've always wanted to do and enabling them to bring their work to a broader international audience. Fellowships are open to all journalists, writers, photographers, radio producers, filmmakers, staff journalists, as well as freelancers, and media professionals outside the United States interested in reporting from their home country.
Fellows are selected based on the strength of the proposed topic and the strength of the applicant's work as demonstrated in their work samples. Recipients are granted $5,000 to cover travel expenses for a reporting project on topics and regions of global importance and $2,500 to cover travel expenses associated with travel to Washington to meet with Pulitzer Center staff and journalists and take part in a 2-day workshop.
