The Paris Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) is offering two research fellowship programs to researchers of all nationalities in 2019-2020. One fellowship will last for 5-10 months in the “Blue Sky Research” program open to all majors in the humanities and social sciences, and the other will last for 5-10 months in the “Brain, Culture and Society” program in neuroscience, cognitive science, and the humanities and social sciences. Applicants may be junior scholars who have received their PhD no later than 1st April 2016. The applicants who have held their PhD for more than 9 years will be considered senior researchers, and they must hold a position in a university or research institution, having a minimum of 10 years of research experience after their PhD. Knowledge of English is required and applicants are expected to understand French, as scientific and social activities are held in both languages. Researchers who have spent more than a year in France during the 3 years prior to the application are not eligible to apply.
Paris IAS provides accommodation, a monthly stipend, round-trip ticket to and from Paris, health insurance, and financial support for scientific activities, including the organization of events.
