Opportunity description
Open Society Foundation offers Civil Society Scholar Awards (CSSA) which enable doctoral students and full-time university faculty members with a minimum of a Master’s degree to access resources that enrich research in their home country through this scholarship. Selection will be made on the basis of academic excellence, and a clear need for international travel to complete the research project which will take 2 to 12 months. The project’s subject must be within the area of social sciences and humanities, and must take place outside the country of the applicant’s current residence.
Maximum funding will be up to $15,000.
