Opportunity description
The ARNA-Project Art, Ecology & Science welcomes applications from artists within all disciplines to develop the theme “Perspective through details” in connection to the science center in Lund for material studies. The 4-week residency will include working on the theme in addition to focusing on the question “How can the Arts describe the very search for a greater understanding through the science of details?”. Applicants must be professionals who create personal interpretation of the theme, and must dedicate 40 hours per week towards the project and present end results before March 2019. The project focuses on connecting a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) biosphere reserve with science facilities in the area, and will be presented to students within the international Master course “Visual Culture: Environment and Nature” at the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences at Lund University.
Travel, accommodation, and food costs will be covered. There will also be guided tours and local transportation provided for the participants.
