Shark Tank of Wellness Student Global Competition 2018

The Global Wellness Summit is an international organization that brings together leaders and visionaries to positively impact and shape the future of the global wellness industry. The objectives of the summit are to establish a forum for dialogue among global industry leaders, create community by fostering friendly relationships among stakeholders, and inspire a spirit of collaboration to solve problems.

The Global Wellness Summit invites students above 18 from all around the world to participate in the “Shark Tank of Wellness” competition, which is a unique global challenge in which 3 university students are rewarded for their most innovative and impactful ideas for the wellness industry. Innovations can be in sectors as varied as architecture/design, beauty, education, fitness, hospitality, investment, medicine, nutrition, real estate, spa, technology, travel, tourism, and more.

Eligibility criteria is:

[1] Participants can be individuals or a team

[2] Participants must be undergraduate students (working towards a one or two year diploma, a four year bachelor’s degree or Vocational Education and Training qualification) or a graduate/post-graduate student (working towards a master’s, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD degree) in a university or college of distinction at the time they develop their concept for the competition

[3] Participants must be either full-time or part time students

[4] Participants must have a professor or a faculty advisor who serves as a mentor for their project

[5] Participants must submit a future-focused, innovative wellness idea, product or service that has the potential to become a profitable business venture

[6] Participants are required to submit a video to present their idea which must be between 1-2 minutes and uploaded on the participant’s YouTube or Dailymotion account

The top three finalists will be flown, along with their professors, to the annual Global Wellness Summit (GWS) held October 6-8, 2018 in Italy to present their business idea to the attending Summit delegates. First place winner will receive $5,000, second place winner will receive $3,000, and third place winner will receive $2,000. Additional non-cash prizes include travel and hotel accommodations in Italy (individual or team leader). Also included is access to the three-day Summit (a $3,630 value) including all general sessions, breakout discussions, industry forums featuring global industry leaders, social events and a final evening gala.
