The Sultan Qaboos <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Competitions-and-Awards" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Award</a> for Culture, Arts and Literature announces the opening of the candidacy and registration at its eighth session of 2019, which is dedicated to the Arabs in its branches: the field of Sociology Studies, the field of Arabian Tarap and the field of Tour Literature.<h3>Prizes:&nbsp;</h3>First: Sultan Qaboos Estimated Award for Culture, Arts and Literature; Winner will get: Sultan Qaboos Medal for Culture, Science, Arts, and Literature, in addition to a sum of RO 100,000.Second: Sultan Qaboos Prize for Culture, Arts and Literature; Winner will get: The Medal of Merit for Culture, Science, Arts, and Literature, in addition to a sum of RO 50,000.<h3 dir="ltr">Terms of Participation:</h3><ul><li>The estimated award is for Arabs only.</li><li>The candidate must be alive unless he has died after applying for candidacy.</li><li>The candidate must have books, works or research that have been published, presented or implemented.</li><li>The work of the candidate must be characterized by originality and proficiency, and includes adding quality that contributes to the enrichment of culture, thought and art.</li><li>The Award will consider the work of the candidate whether it is independent work or joint work.</li><li>The work must be in Arabic, and the other work done by the candidate in languages other than Arabic may be considered as supporting materials for his candidacy.</li><li>Candidates must not have won an estimated international award in the last four years.</li><li>Candidates must only apply for one field and one specific branch of the prize in one session.</li><li>The winners of the Sultan Qaboos Estimated Award for Culture, Arts and Literature from Omanis may not later be nominated for Sultan Qaboos Prize for Culture, Arts and Literature.</li><li>The application for candidacy shall be accompanied by a CV, five personal photographs and five copies (written, audio-visual) as required by the type of work performed by the candidate in the branch in which the award was submitted.</li><li>Copies and documents submitted shall be the property of the Center and shall not be returned to the Contestants.&nbsp;</li></ul>See more available <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Grants">grants</a> on For9aSee more available <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Events-Festivals-and-Conferences">events and conferences</a> on For9a
