With funding from the Siwei Cheng Foundation, The World Academy of Sciences’ TWAS-Siwei Cheng prize recognizes economic scientists who have been living and working in a developing country for at least 10 years. Nominees must have outstanding scientific research or contribution to the application of economic sciences. Nominations must be made by a science academy, national research council, or a university in a developing country. Self-nominations are not accepted.
The award’s value is $10,000 and it is accompanied by a medal.
