Opportunity description

Taawon Welfare Association has launched the Distinguished Teacher Award with the slogan “Teacher Creativity is the Improvement of the Community”. The Association believes in the importance of appreciation of excellence, creativity and achievement, in addition to the importance of the establishment of annual awards that are granted to institutions of accomplishments and distinctive and innovative methods that bring sustainable positive changes in their area of work. Since its establishment, Taawon has given special attention to the education sector, based on its vision to develop and empower the Palestinian people. It has focused on interventions aimed at building and upgrading the capacities of teachers in many disciplines and in all areas of work. All educational elements from teachers, administrators, mentors, curricula, teaching tools and schools play a role in achieving excellence and creativity in education. All of this has been the source of interest of the Mr. Munir Al Kalouti and Hani Kaddoumi Scholarship Foundation. The teacher is the one who designs the learning environment and takes into consideration the different levels of students, which allows them to do their job in a way that suits them with the educational materials and to follow up their progress and guide them to achieve the desired objectives to be productive members, creators and leaders of the society.

Award Philosophy:

The Award revolves around the support for innovation and excellence in education through the adoption of the teacher’s ways and methods of innovative, creative, non-traditional and modern teaching and learning, to give students scientific knowledge, research capabilities, and the skills needed to analyze problems and give solutions. All of this aims to create a creative generation capable of keeping pace with rapid changes in today’s world and to reach the very top to reflect on the society positively. Therefore, it’s believed that this Award is of great importance in supporting and developing teaching methods capable of having a clear vision of society, in addition to opening the door for positive competition between the teachers to use innovative methods.
