Taiwan International Graphic Design Award 2019

Ministry of Economic Affairs, China announced the opening of the 2019 Taiwan International Graphic Design Award (TIGDA), where outstanding and international works will be selected publicly. 

Eligibility: 

The competition is open to designers from all regions and countries. (The competition can be registered jointly by design executors(companies) and institutes serviced by those executors (including organizations, companies, and related institutes).

Competition Categories:

• TAIWAN INTERNATIONAL POSTER DESIGN AWARD：

1. Specific Topic: Human Concerning, Sustainable Development (including Environment Protection, Energy Conservation, and Carbon Reduction). (Type A)
2. Non-specific Topic: Commerce, Arts, Public Welfare and Purpose Popularization. (Type B)
3. All entries must be created after June 2017.

• TAIWAN INTERNATIONAL CI DESIGN AWARD：

1. Corporate Identity: Brand, logo and other series of design works for companies and institutions. (Type C)
2. Event Identity: Logo and a series of design work for commercial campaigns/events. (Type D)
3. All entries must be created after June 2017.

Judging Criteria:

• “Taiwan International Poster Design Award”: Creativity, completeness of the composition, and stringency.
• “Taiwan International CI Design Award”: Commercial value, authenticity, and delivery of the topic.

Prizes:

Category of Both Awards:

• Grand Prize (1 person) A Medal; an invitation to an exchange of topic in the host country.
• ico-D Excellence Award (1 person) A Medal.
• JAGDA Excellence Award (1 person) A Medal.
• TPDA Award (1 person) A Medal.
• GDA-ROC Award (1 person) A Medal.
• TGDA Award (1 person) A Medal.
• TADA Award (1 person) A Medal.

Category of Taiwan International Poster Design Award: (Specific topic and non-specific topic categories)

• Gold Award (2 persons): Medal; invitation to an exchange of topic in the host country.
• Silver Award (2 persons): Medal
• Bronze Award: (2 persons): Medal
• Youth Award: (2 persons): Medal (for participants under 35 years old and not receiving other medals)
• Judge Panel Special Award (each member of the judge panel will select one winner. Winners are selected outside the Gold/Silver/Bronze Medal winners): Medal
• All award winners will receive an award certificate(in addition to the winners of the medal). Their works will be exhibited and collected in a special publication.

Category of Taiwan International CI Design Award: (Corporate identity and event identity categories)

• Gold Award (2 persons): Medal; invitation to an exchange of topic in the host country.
• Silver Award (2 persons): Medal
• Bronze Award: (2 persons): Medal
• Youth Award: (2 persons): Medal (for participants under 35 years old and not receiving other medals)
• Judge Panel Special Award (each members of the judge panel selects one winner. Winners are selected outside the Gold/Silver/Bronze Award winners): Medal
