Chevening invites ambitious emerging leaders, professionals in the arts and culture sector from Jordan and Egypt to apply for the Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship 2019. Chevening Fellowship is a unique program of cultural leadership development that seeks to enrich and transform cultural practice and engagement. Leaders will be given the opportunity to undertake an individually tailored leadership program in the UK. The Fellowship provides a number of core activities to support your individual development as a cultural leader over a period of around seven months starting in September 2019. You will learn from the experiences of guest speakers and your peers, and gain insights about yourself from practical workshops and mentoring and coaching. You’ll extend your knowledge and understanding of the wider cultural sector through dialogue, inquiry, study visits, conferences and meetings, and increase your skills through courses and individual training as part of your unique development plan.
Eligibility:
Chevening invites individuals from Egypt and Jordan to apply for The Chevening Clore Fellowship. To be eligible for the Fellowship, applicants must:
[1] Intend to return to the country they were selected from at the end of the period of study.
[2] Hold a degree that is equivalent to at least a good UK second-class honors degree or has equivalent professional training and/or experience.
[3] Have completed at least five years’ work, or equivalent experience, by the end of September in the year prior to the academic year for which the fellowship applies.
[4] Meet the minimum requirements in accordance with the main fellowship's scheme.
[5] Not hold dual nationality where one nationality is British.
Funding:
Successful applicants will receive the Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship that includes a training budget of up to £14,000. This amount is intended to cover the following:
[1] Up to two return economy flights from your home country to the UK to undertake fellowship activities.
[2] Accommodation while in the UK.
[3] Living expenses while in the UK.
[4] A period of secondment for approximately eight weeks at a cultural institution in the UK.
[5] Individually tailored fellowship learning plan which may include participation in courses conferences and other professional development activities in the UK.
[6] Course and conference fees within the UK.
[7] Training and development costs within the UK.
[8] Travel in the UK.
