Opportunity description

Global Arena Research Institute is inviting young leaders to apply for the ReDefine Next100 Program, that brings together students from diverse fields such as humanities, social sciences, engineering, medicine, computing science, art and the natural sciences. 40 top young leaders will form their teams in order to identify the issue they perceive to be the paramount global challenge in the future. This diverse team incorporates innovative ideas from various respective fields and proposes a way to address this challenge, but only ten teams out of 40 will be invited to Prague for a five day long workshop, where they perfect their work to a final proposal with high-level mentors. The selected teams by a panel of experts will be invited to present their ideas at The Next 100 Symposium, and the winning team will receive The Next 100 Redefiner Award.

To be eligible for the program, you must:

[1] Aged between 18 and 35

[2] Be a student of a of higher education (Bachelor, Masters, PhD) or individuals who have left their formal education no later than 2 years prior to applying

[3] Have access to a good internet connection to attend the mentoring sessions and work collaboratively in teams.

[4] Demonstrate a passion for innovative, cross-disciplinary critical thinking.

[5] Demonstrate leadership in their field & team collaboration

[6 ] Demonstrate an interest in modern technology and how it can improve our global understanding, as all participants must have a prior interest in technology and innovation and approach this as a cross disciplinary program.

What does successful applicant gain?

Successful applicants will receive a fully-funded scholarship to attend the Seminar Week in Prague as well as The Next 100 Symposium for winning teams. One team will win the Next 100 Redefiner Award and the opportunity to pitch their idea to the Next 100 Symposium's partners and delegates. The funding includes all of the following:

[1] 1-day access to Future Port Prague with a possibility to present your project on their Launch Pad.

[2] Hotel accommodation on a shared basis for the Prague Seminar Week, as well as The Next 100 Symposium if part of the winning team

[3] The cost of travel to and from Prague for the Prague Seminar Week, as well as The Next 100 Symposium, if a member of one of the winning teams selected during the seminar week.

[4] Lunch during the Seminar Week.

[5] Discretionary per diems for the Seminar Week while in Prague.

 The program does not fund visas, however, the organizers are able to connect applicants with their local embassy and aid in the process.
