Opportunity description
Terra Foundation is offering travel grants for scholars outside the United States to consult resources and visit collections within the United States. Applicants will receive up to $7,000 per grant for doctoral students from Asia, Africa, and Latin America and up to $9,000 per grant for all postdoctoral and senior scholars.
Grant funding is available for short-term travel that gives scholars the opportunity to:
[1] discover new source material.
[2] experience works of art first-hand in museums and private collections.
[3] make contact with artists, art dealers, archivists, curators, university scholars, etc.
[4] consult local archives and library collections.
[5] establish professional networks for future research.
