Opportunity description
The United Nations Environment Programme - Climate CoLab ِِContest hopes to challenge those, who are interested in saving the environment, to combine innovative, practical solutions to achieve multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) addressing climate change. Participants must add their ideas on existing proposals on the Climate CoLab Platform to develop new integrated proposals for achieving a greater number of SDGs.
Proposals are evaluated on their feasibility, novelty, impact and presentation quality. The contest also includes a public voting period that helps select that contest’s Popular Choice winner.
Winners will be invited to attend the official launch event for GEO-6 during the Fourth UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-4) in March 2019 in Nairobi, Kenya, and be recognized by the UN Environment’s Office of the Chief Scientist. In addition to that, they are given the unique opportunity to meet with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Environment.
Note: Participants under 18 years old, need their parent or legal guardian to register on the Climate CoLab website and submit their proposal.
