Opportunity description
Bond University invites international students beginning their undergraduate degree program or postgraduate degree program (excluding the medical program) to apply for the partially-funded Transformer, which is a co-curricular program designed to enable students to innovatively tackle real-world problems that matter. It attracts motivated, self-directed individuals who want to work in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams on challenging projects that typically span multiple semesters. Students are supported throughout the program by dedicated academics and staff, industry experts, mentors, state-of-the-art facilities and other essential resources.
Eligibility criteria:
[1] Applicants must have high potential to affect real change through participation in the Transformer program
[2] Applicants must have strong leadership skills, community involvement and demonstrated potential to affect change
[3] Applicants must be extremely involved in extracurricular activities and must meet the entry requirements for their chosen program of study
[4] Applicants must meet the university’s academic and English language requirements
[5] Applicant must actively participate in and complete the program
[6] Each applicant must submit a 3-minute video about himself/herself, including titles and credits
[7] Videos must be suitable for public viewing and not contain obscene or offensive content
[8] The university may use excerpts of the videos submitted for teaching purposes and to promote the competition to the public. This includes online, print and multimedia
[9] Applicants must be willing to be involved in any promotional activities arranged by the university
