Applicants are required to have a strong academic background and a great capability of research, and must not be funded by any other scholarships. For English-taught programs, TOEFL 85 or IELTS 6.0 received within two years is required, unless the applicant is a native speaker of English or the previous degree was fully taught in it. Applicants who are not qualified for HSK when applying must attend Chinese training for one year in CSU and pass the test. The bachelor’s degree lasts for 4-5 years, the master’s degree for 3 years, and the PhD for 4 years.
Fully-funded scholarships cover tuition fees, on-campus accommodation and medical insurance fees. This is in addition to providing a monthly stipend of 2000 RMB for bachelor’s degree students, 2500 RMB for master’s degree students and 3000 RMB for PhD students. Partial scholarships cover tuition and medical insurance fees.
