Opportunity description
It all started when, on the 7th and 8th of April, 2018, World changers from across the globe gathered virtually for a 48-hour competition to solve the world's most critical international challenges. That's when they realized they had something special. UNITE 2030 is a gathering of world changers that work to tackle critical international challenges. World changers from around the globe virtually convene for a 48-hour Hackathon competition, and spend two days working to solve a specific global challenge, and must solve it within the presented time frame. Throughout the 48 hours, World changers watch workshops hosted by world-class experts, and work closely with their team to quickly, and diligently address the challenge, teams present their solutions within the framework provided. Judges will select finalists, and then winners, who will take home the title of UNITE 2030 Global Champions 2018.
About the competition
Within the first few hours of the Challenge, Teams will be given a scenario based question based on a Sustainable Development Goal of their choice. Teams will then have 48-hours to develop an Action Plan to tackle the Scenario provided to them. At the end of the Challenge, Teams will submit specific materials about their Action Plan to the Judges, who will select finalists. Finalists will then pitch their ideas before the Judges decide the winners.
