Opportunity description
The University of Canberra Vice-Chancellor's International Poetry Prize in Australia invites poets above 18 years old from all over the world to participate by submitting their poems whether they’re published or not. The prize celebrates the significance of poetry to cultures everywhere, and its ongoing importance to world literature. Poems must have a maximum length of 50 lines.
First place winner will receive AUD$15,000, and the second place will receive AUD$5,000. Four shortlisted poems will receive no additional payment beyond the standard one for publication in the Prize Longlist Anthology. Poems selected for longlist will receive AUD$50 per poem upon publication.
