The United Nations Volunteers Program is looking for a highly motivated and skilled volunteer to fill a Program Assistant position at the UN Women Office in Amman, Jordan. The UN Women Office in Amman supports the Government of Jordan to address the impact of the Syria crisis on Jordan and aims to empower Syrian women refugees through increased access to opportunities, services and meaningful engagement in community life, to put in place the foundational cornerstones for the present and future fulfillment of their rights.
In this framework, the UN Women office is seeking to hire a program assistant that will undertake the following tasks:
[1] Program support
[2] Financial support
[3] Project procurement and HR support
[4] Administrative support
Ideal candidates must hold a University Diploma in Business Administration or a related field, have two years experience in program and financial support and can speak both English and Arabic. They must also have a knowledge in Results Based Management and the ability to organize and prioritize work schedules to meet team needs and deadlines.
Admitted applicants will be part of the six-month project, based in Amman, with a possibility of extensions subject to availability of funding, operational necessity and satisfactory performance. Travel expenses will be covered and a Settling-In-Grant will be provided if needed. Also, the applicable Volunteer Living Allowance is provided monthly to help cover housing, utilities and normal living expenses.
