Opportunity description

Think Conveyancing is fully invested in the future of the industry and the generation who will one day lead it. That’s why it offers to students of all ages an opportunity for a financial boost, through its Financial Literacy Scholarship competition.

The concept is simple; applicants need to write an original essay on the topic: "How should young people prepare for their retirement, if at all, and why?".

Award Value:

The total value of the award is $4,800, split across four categories, as follows:

[1] High School – $1000 first prize; $200 runner-up.

[2] First Year Uni – $1000 first prize; $200 runner-up.

[3] Second and Third Year Uni – $1000 first prize; $200 runner-up.

[4] College or Trade School – $1000 first prize; $200 runner-up

Essay Criteria:

One submission is allowed per person and the essay should be no longer than 700 words.

Applicants must:

[1] Be aged between 16 to 34.

[2] Be currently enrolled at an educational institution, part-time or full-time.

What to write in the essay is entirely up to applicants; there are certainly no right or wrong answers. It is an opportunity for students to tackle an important subject that will have an enormous impact on society in the future. They can use historical data to support their ideas, or explore some entirely new initiatives. Brainstorm out-of-the-box solutions or present a factual piece using case studies and future projections.
