Win a $ 500 Prize with Film Making and Caricature from Working Dreamers

In collaboration with filmmaker Ala'a Hamdan, UNFPA in Jordan is launching a film and caricature competition for youth aimed at promoting awareness and knowledge of sexual and reproductive health. The competition targets young people aged between 15 and 24 years in Jordan.

Rules:

1. Anyone aged 15-24 can participate in this locally based contest. 
2. Participants declare that they agree with the terms and conditions of the contest, the rules, and the jury’s decisions. 
3. Participation is free.
4. Cartoons submitted should be in the themes of Motherhood and safe deliveries.
5. Each participant can submit more than one cartoon (colored or in black and white). All graphic techniques are allowed (digital work and free hand drawings). 
6. All cartoons are allowed even they have been published or exhibited in the past - but didn’t win any prize or competition before.
7. Submitted cartoon must be in JPEG, GIF or PNG formats, at least 1,000 pixels in width and an image quality over 200 DPI.
8. For those participating in the film section, each participant can submit more than one Film (colored or in black and white). All graphic techniques are allowed including digital work. Films must be uploaded in sufficiently high quality. It is preferable that the film length should be 1:00 to 2:00 minutes. All Films are allowed even they have been published or exhibited in the past - but didn’t win any prize or competition before.
9. By submitting an entry, participants give the organizers the right to use their entries to promote the cartoon or film competitions and for any future use (i.e. the catalog, publicity in the press and on other media, posters, etc).
10. Entrants remain responsible for the originality of their works. Discussions and possible claims related to any form of plagiarism are at the entrant’s expense. If plagiarism is discovered after the prizes have been awarded, the jury can deliberate and decide to revoke the prize.
11. Each participant or team must submit their work via an application to the Working Dreamers platform.
12. Participants must provide their full name, age, sex, what governorate of Jordan they reside in, and the title of their cartoon.

Prizes:

• There will be two awards, one for the technical value of the films and the other for the number of votes.
• A prize of $500 will be awarded to each winner.

Winners will be determined according to the number of votes they receive and by a special jury.
