World Habitat Awards invite people from all over the world to participate in their competition and present projects that will ensure practical and innovative solutions to housing needs and problems. The competition is open for individuals, organizations and governments and it can be more than one project. The projects must focus on affordable and adequate housing. They must also be in progress or have been completed in the last ten years, and have been designed in close collaboration with the local community.Winners will receive £10,000 each and a trophy, and will be presented at a global UN-Habitat event.
