PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival is a joint initiative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) that invites the world’s youth to submit original and creative videos focusing on the themes of migration, diversity and social inclusion. By supporting the distribution of youth-produced media, PLURAL+ recognizes youth as powerful agents of positive social change in a world often characterized by intolerance, and cultural and religious divisions.
Participants must be individuals or teams with all members less than 25 years old. Submitted entries should be videos of maximum 5 minutes of running time including the title and end credits, discussing one of the topics mentioned previously and have English subtitles if the video itself is not in English.
Prizes are awarded to one entrant per category. One representative of each winning team will be invited to attend the PLURAL+ Awards Ceremony held in New York City (travel and accommodations expenses paid). The PLURAL+ international jury will also select one video for PLURAL+ Award for the Prevention of Xenophobia in addition to many other awards given by PLURAL+ partners that may include equipment, travel or professional opportunities.
