European Commission invites young journalists from around the world to participate in its residency program Youth4Regions in Brussels, Belgium for aspiring journalists, and it will be about Regional Policy.
About the Program
Youth4Regions is the European Commission program helping journalism students and young journalists to discover what the EU is doing in their region.

Eligibility criteria
- Interest in what EU regional policy is doing in applicant's region.
- Background in journalism (studies or experience).
- EU or neighboring country citizen aged from 18 to 30 years old.
- Availability during 10 – 15 October.
Application Requirement:
A short original article (400-1000 words), or a short video (2 – 3 minutes) depicting a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (including Interreg) or Cohesion Fund. The theme is up to the applicant to choose.
After Being Selected:
Successful candidates will be invited to visit Brussels between 10 - 15 October 2019 for a full week of
- Training on journalism and EU affairs,
- Working together with established journalists,
- Networking with the EU institutions, European media, fellow peers, and more.
Upon completion of the program, participants will become part of the Youth4Regions Alumni, a pan-European network of future journalists interested in EU affairs.
