- In this workshop children will be able to closely observe and examine leaves and flowers, and engage in different exercises demonstrating different ways of creating nature illustrations.
- Children will experiment a variety of wet and dry media, as well as non-traditional tools, to explore shape, color and texture and expand drawing and painting skills.
- Artist Bassem Boulos will lead this workshop within a supportive and attractive environment for children to enhance and develop their artistic talents.
Eligibility criteria
- This workshop will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on November 19, 2023.
- Participants must be between 7 and 12 years old.
- Only 14 places are available in this workshop.
- This workshop will be held at Al Safa Arts and Design Library
- The registration fee for this workshop is 90 AED (+ VAT).
- The amount paid will be non-refundable.
About Tashkeel Foundation:
Latifa bint Maktoum founded the Tashkeel Center in Dubai in 2008 to provide an incubator environment for the development of contemporary art and design practices in the United Arab Emirates. The Center provides space for creative and experimental practices and dialogue between practitioners and the broader community by providing multidisciplinary studios, workspaces and exhibitions in Nad Al Sheba and Al Fahidi. The Tashkeel Center adopts an open membership model and its annual program of training, residency programs, workshops, discussions, exhibitions, international collaborations and publications aims to support the development of artistic practitioners, engage the community and promote a lifelong learning approach as well as supporting the various creative and cultural industries.
