UPWARD Gallery announces an exhibition and competition for abstract art by artists 18 years of age or older from all over the world.
Benefits
- Contest winners will be interviewed by the UPWARD Gallery editors and published in UPWARD's quarterly print edition and on the website in the Interviews section. These winning entries will also be publicized on social media.
- All participants will receive digital certificates bearing their scores in the competition.
- Distinguished entries will receive digital certificates of appreciation and honorary prizes, in addition to being qualified for the finalists in the competition.
- The winners of the competition (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) will be able to participate for free with two artworks in the next competition.
Eligibility criteria
- Acceptable media include all traditional art media (eg oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, pen and ink; drawing media such as graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, metallic point), digital painting, and arts and crafts (beading, pottery, embroidery, batik, stained glass, 2D canvas, etc.).
- Please do not apply any profanity or political entries.
- Each participant in the competition will have a personal page on the platform (individual exhibition) in UPWARD. This page will display the works submitted by the artist to participate in the competition, a brief biography of the artist, links to the artist's website, as well as links to his/her social media accounts, and an interview with the artist.
- The participation fee for the competition is $12 for one entry, $10 for participation in case of participation with two to four works, $9 for participation with 5 or more entries.
- The age of the artists participating in the first category of participation ranges between 18 and 21 years old.
- Artists participating in the second category must be over 22 years old.
- Participating media must be in one of the following categories:
- Fine arts.
- Graphic arts.
- Digital paintings.
- Craft/Mixed Media.
