Applications are open for the African Future Lab AfaRise Fellowship 2025-2027. The fellowship aims at advancing reparative justice through research, advocacy, and cross-continental solidarity. Its mission involves dismantling the enduring legacies of colonialism and slavery, primarily focusing on restoring agency to African and Afro-descendant communities.
- Engage in regular virtual gatherings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Provide regular updates on the progression of their project.
- Prepare a final presentation of their project.

Eligibility criteria for the fellowship:
- Open to activists, practitioners, researchers, and artists engaged in decoloniality, racial justice, and reparation projects based in Africa and Europe.
- Demonstrated commitment to racial justice across any related thematic areas such as gender, climate, and economics.
- A project at an early stage aiming to dismantle racial injustices across Africa and Europe or on a global scale.
- Contextual understanding of Africa, Europe, or Afro-diasporic communities.
- A visionary, collaborative, and innovative approach to social change.

- A project at a very initial phase aiming at dismantling racial injustices across Africa and Europe or at a global scale.
- Contextual understanding of Africa, Europe, or Afro-diasporic communities.
- Visionary, collaborative, and innovative approach to social change.
