- This session will push young artists to dive into the wonderful world of charcoal, and they will also discover the expressive potential of charcoal as they learn how to manipulate light and shadow, and create depth and dimension in their drawings.
- Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the drawing process and the skills of in-the-moment drawing.
Eligibility criteria
- This workshop will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm on December 13, 2023.
- Participants must be between 12 and 16 years old.
- Only 15 places are available in this workshop.
- This workshop will be held at Al Safa Arts and Design Library.
- The registration fee for this workshop is 250 AED (+VAT).
- The amount paid will be non-refundable again.
About Tashkeel Foundation:
Latifa bint Maktoum founded the Tashkeel Center in Dubai in 2008 to provide an incubator environment for the development of contemporary art and design practices in the United Arab Emirates. The Center provides space for creative and experimental practices and dialogue between practitioners and the broader community by providing multidisciplinary studios, workspaces and exhibitions in Nad Al Sheba and Al Fahidi. The Tashkeel Center adopts an open membership model and its annual program of training, residency programs, workshops, discussions, exhibitions, international collaborations and publications aims to support the development of artistic practitioners, engage the community and promote a lifelong learning approach as well as supporting the various creative and cultural industries.
