Competition from the UPWARD gallery entitled Artist of the Spring and a Chance to Win Valuable Prizes

UPWARD gallery is pleased to introduce the Artist of the Spring juried art exhibition and competition. It opens the participation to all artists 18 and older and encouraged them to submit their work in any medium, style, and genre. You will have the chance to receive your personal page (solo exhibition) on the UPWARD gallery which displays works you submitted for participation in competitions.

Competition Categories:

• Fine art
• Graphic arts
• Digital painting
• Crafts/ Mixed Media

1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and Merit Award will have:

• An interview with the UPWARD Gallery editors for publication in the quarterly printed edition UPWARD’s Quarterly and on the site in the section Interviews.
• The authors of these works will receive Social Media Promotion (Instagram).
• Take part for free with two artworks in the next competition.
• Electronic certificates.
• Also, the most deserving works will be marked with electronic certificates Merit Awards, and Honorable Mention Awards.
• Other entrants will receive electronic certificates for participation in the Competition. 

You must follow the following criteria:

• The Competition is open to all artists working in all traditional art media.
• Entrants must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Participation is open for ages categories are as follows:
• Artists: Ages 22+
• Artists: Ages 18-21.
• Entries can be submitted by entrants of the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. 
• Enter as often as you like.
• Entries must be submitted as JPG (or PNG) digital files.
• Files must be less than 10 MB. Images must be between 800x800 and 2000x2000 pixels.
• By entering, you represent and warrant that your entry is your original work, and that your entry does not infringe the rights of any third party.
• The entry fee for participation in the competition of one competitive work is 12 US dollars ($). 
• The amount of entry fees depends on the way in which you apply for the competition, for more information visit the official website.
• Entry fees are non-refundable.

Selection Criteria:

Your works will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Artistic technique
• Handling of medium
• Design and creative elements
• Overall impression/impact

Please note:

• There will be three (3) Winners in total for each media and age category. 
• Winners announcement: June 9, 2023.
