The Australia Awards Scholarships 2025 is a fully funded scholarship program offered by the Australian government to students from developing countries. The aim is to promote development and build capacity in their home countries.
What is the Australia Awards Scholarships?
This scholarship is awarded to students from partner countries of Australia, enabling them to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate studies (Master’s or PhD) at Australian universities and technical institutions. The scholarship aims to develop the skills and knowledge of individuals to lead change and contribute to development in their countries.
Application Deadlines:
Applications opened on 1 February 2025 and will close on 30 April 2025. It is recommended to apply early to avoid technical issues during the final days.
Eligible Countries:
Eligible countries include many across Asia, the Pacific, Africa.
Important Notes:
After completing their studies, recipients are required to return to their home countries for a minimum of two years. Failure to comply may result in the applicant being required to repay the scholarship costs.
The scholarship strongly encourages applications from women, people with disabilities, and marginalized groups.

Eligibility criteria
Be a citizen of one of the participating countries
Be at least 18 years old on 1 February of the year the scholarship starts
Not be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand
Not be married to, engaged to, or in a de facto relationship with a person who holds Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
Not have previously received a long-term Australia Award unless they have resided outside of Australia for twice the length of their prior stay
