Better Design Award 2024

China Media Group and Shenzhen Industrial Design Profession Association (SIDA) are hosting the inaugural Better Design Award (BDA).

BDA is an international design competition that \"recognizes projects and companies showcasing design excellence and innovation on a global scale\".

The total prize pool is \"CNY 4.25 million\" (more than USD 584,700), the winner of the BDA Grand Award will be rewarded \"CNY 1.5 million\" (more than USD 200,000).

The Better Design Award focuses on three key areas: \"empowering industrial change, creating a better life, and leading future development\". It recognizes products and services in fields such as high-end equipment manufacturing, intelligent robots, aerospace, supercomputers, new energy vehicles, and low-altitude aircraft. Additionally, it celebrates innovations in electronic information products, modern textiles, home products, cutting-edge materials, digital creativity, and fashion design. The award also emphasises advancements in smart cities, urban public design, green ecology, future industries, and social innovation. These are just a few examples of how to interpret the three themes proposed by the award.

\"Both existing products and original concepts are welcome.\"

Entry is open to enterprises and institutions, design agencies, colleges, design teams, scientific research institutions and individuals from any country and region in the world.

Prize, \"trophies\" and \"certificates\" will be provided to BDA winners (participants who have passed the final evaluation). Certificates will also be provided to BDA nominees (participants who have passed the second evaluation).
