Opportunity description

Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) is a public technical university in Sweden with campuses in Karlskrona and Karlshamn. It is known for its strong focus on applied education and research in engineering, information technology, and sustainable development. BTH offers a number of programs taught in English for international students.

The BTH Scholarship is designed for students from non-EU/EEA countries who are required to pay tuition fees for undergraduate or master’s studies. It aims to support these students by reducing part of their tuition costs, provided they are enrolled in campus-based programs. The scholarship does not cover living expenses.

Application Deadline

  • Master’s applicants must apply for their program through the Swedish national admissions platform (UniversityAdmissions.se) by 15 January each year.

  • After applying, eligible students will receive an email from BTH with instructions on how to apply for the scholarship.

Benefits

  • The scholarship usually covers a partial tuition fee reduction of around 50% of the tuition cost for eligible programs.

  • It does not cover living costs, housing, or personal expenses.

Eligibility criteria

  • Must be a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA.

  • Must be required to pay tuition fees (not fee-exempt).

  • Must apply for a campus-based program at BTH (online or distance programs may not qualify).

  • In some cases, BTH must be your first choice on the national admissions platform.

  • Selection is based on academic excellence.
