Opportunity description
The Bournemouth Writing Prize is an annual international short story and poetry competition. Winners receive personal feedback from industry professionals and a cash prize for each category. There is no set theme.
Submission conditions:
- International entries are welcome.
- Entrants must be over 16 years old.
- Short stories must be under 3000 words.
- Poems must be 30 lines or less.
Judging: Your work will be judged by industry professionals from the publishing world.
Prizes:
- Short Story: £500 cash prize, plus an hour-long consultation with Greene and Heaton agent, Laura Williams.
- Poetry: £500 cash prize, plus an hour-long consultation and feedback session with indie publisher Dithering Chaps.
