The Bridport Prize, an annual literary competition held at Bridport Arts Centre in England, announces its competition open to entrants aged 16 and over. The competition has four categories: Poetry, Short Story, Flash Fiction, and Novel Award.
All entries must be in English and must not have been previously published, self-published, published online, broadcast, or have won a prize in any other competition. There is a maximum line limit for poetry (42 lines), word limit for short stories (5,000 words), word limit for flash fiction (250 words), and word limit for novels (8,000 words, with a minimum of 5,000 words from opening chapters plus a 300-word synopsis).
Entry fees vary by category. The prizes include significant cash prizes in each category.
