Opportunity description
The Chevening Leicester Partner Scholarship is a joint partnership between the UK Government (Chevening Scholarship) and the University of Leicester.
Recipients of the 2025 Chevening Scholarship will receive a return airfare, a full tuition fee waiver, a stipend to cover living costs, and other allowances to fully support them to study with us here at the University of Leicester.

Eligibility criteria
- be from one of the Chevening-eligible countries.
- be applying to study or studying a one-year taught Master’s course within the College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities or the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment.
- be starting the said program in September 2025.
In addition to the specific criteria for the Chevening-Leicester Partner Scholarship, applicants must also fulfill the standard Chevening requirements, which include:
- Being a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country.
- Committing to returning to your home country for at least two years after completing your studies.
- Holding an undergraduate degree will enable you to gain entry into a postgraduate program at a UK university.
- Having at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
