PWARD gallery invites artists from all over the world to participate in thecompetitionentitled: Botanical. It accepts works from all mediums including all traditional art media (e.g., oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media; drawing media such as graphite, charcoal, and colored pencils), digital painting, and arts and crafts. Just capture nature's designs in your work, submit it, and you will have a unique chance to win great prizes.

If you are among the winners, you will have many prizes and perks:

- Merit Awards, and Honorable Mention Awards.
- Winners (1st place) are interviewed by the UPWARD Gallery editors for publication in the quarterly printed edition UPWARD’s Quarterly and on the site in the section Interviews.
- Social Media Promotion (Instagram).
- Take part for free with two artworks in upcoming UPWARD Gallery competitions.
- In addition, all participants will receive electronic certificates based on the results of the competition.
Eligibility criteria
You should follow the following criteria:
- Entrants must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- You can submit your work in any medium, style, and genre.
- The theme is the complex and captivating structures of plants: flowers, leaves, fruits and vegetables.
- Botanical illustration, botanical art, floral painting and plant portraiture are accepted for participation in the exhibition.
- All works must be original.
- The Competition is open to all artists working in all traditional art media (e.g., oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, gouache, egg tempera, pen and ink; drawing media such as graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, markers), digital painting, arts and crafts.
- No profanity or political artwork.
- Each participant of the competition receives his personal page on the UPWARD gallery.
- This page displays works that the artist submitted for participation in competitions, short biography text and artist statement, links to the artist's website, as well as links to social media accounts, interview with the artist.
- The entry fee for participation in the competition of one competitive work is 12 US dollars ($), $10 (2-4 entries), and $9 (5 or more entries).
Please note:
- Entry fees are non-refundable.
- Winners announcement: November 14, 2023.
- There will be three (3) Winners in total for each media and age category.
Judging Process:
Your entries will be judged using the following criteria:
- Artistic technique
- Handling of medium
- Design and creative elements
- Overall impression/impact
