Photography Competition and a Chance to Win a Prizes Pool Worth Over €28,000

Projekt natur & fotografie is calling all photographers for a competition; Competition of Nature Photography Glanzlichter 2022. You can participate in any one of the competition's eight categories, and the winners will be celebrated through the events of the International Fürstenfeld Nature Photo Days in Fürstenfeldbruck from April 21 to 24, 2022.

Competition Categories:

1. Magnificent Wilderness: landscape photography.
2. The Beauty of Plants: plant photography.
3. Nature as Art: shape, color and abstraction of nature.
4. Artist of Wings: bird photography.
5. The World of Mammals: images of mammals.
6. Diversity of all other Animals: animal kingdom except birds and mammals.
7. Moments in Nature: images of special moments in nature.
8. Aerial Views of Nature: nature pictures by multicopter.

If you are among the winners, you will get one of the following prizes:  

• One All Over Winner: 
• €2,500.
• Trophy.
• The DVF medal in gold.
• Glanzlichter book.
• In categories 1-8 a Winner and nine Highlights will be chosen. 
• The category winners will receive:
•  €500.
• A trophy and a Glanzlichter book.
• The category highlights will receive €50 and a Glanzlichter book, each.
• The Fritz Poelking Award:
• €250.
• The DVF medal in bronze.
• A book by Fritz Poelking.
• Glanzlichter book.
• The Junior Award:
• €500.
• Trophy.
• The DVF medal in silver.
• Glanzlichter book.
• The four highlights will receive €50 each and a Glanzlichter book, each.

You must follow the following terms:

1. The competition is open to everyone who practices nature photography as a hobby or on a professional basis.
2. Young photographers up to the age of 17 may participate in all categories.
3. The Fritz Poelking Award will be chosen from all submissions to category 4.
4. The Junior Award will be selected from all entries.
5. In each category, 5 (five) images can be entered — in total not more than 25 images.
6. You must have all rights to the image, and Image rights remain with you.
7. The image must not be blocked by agencies or publishers. 
8. In the case of portraits of people, consent must be obtained from the person photographed.
9. Images of pets, multiple exposures, or digitally manipulated images are not eligible to enter this competition.
10. If the photo shows an animal in captivity (zoo, container, game farm) or was taken under controlled conditions, the photo should be marked with a C (= captive).
11. When using digital technologies, please add the appropriate abbreviation for the file name.

13. Digital photos through online sharing at www.glanzlichter.com/online2022.cfm.
14. Digital photos on CD/DVD.
15. By participating in the competition, you agree to the terms of the competition.

Please note:

• The participation fee is 20 euros per participant.
• The amount in cash must be attached to the postal submissions. Online participants transfer the amount to the bank account provided online or via PayPal to the account info@glanzlichter.com.

Timeline:

• On January 24, 2022, original files of images that reached the final judging round will be requested.
• On February 5, 2022, following the decision on the winning photos, the winners will be notified.
• By February 12, 2022, detailed information on the winning photo should be sent.
• By March 15, 2022, information and documents for the competition will be sent to all participants.
