Opportunity description
UNV offers a number of online volunteer opportunities for one week. The UNITAR Division for Prosperity is looking for support from ten motivated Online Volunteers with previous experience in journalistic writing to conduct research, write news/provide success stories, and encourage future participants to join new training programs.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Support with the writing of a participant story based on written reports and/or interviewed materials.
- The article to be developed is a +/- 3-page story in English that describes the impact of the training programs.
- You are expected to conduct preparatory research about the background information such as the current situations of the countries/areas where the participants are in/from, and relevant topics in the fields of the programmes.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Work experience in writing in the fields of communications, public information, journalism, or related fields.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Ability to work 6 - 10 hours per week.
