curaJOY is a nonprofit organization based in the United States that aims to promote the psychological and social well-being of children and adolescents around the world through technological innovation—particularly artificial intelligence and emotionally intelligent interactive content. The organization focuses on building sustainable solutions that enhance life skills and mental health, integrating education with digital well-being.
The curaJOY Impact Fellowship is a fully funded summer program that runs for 7 weeks (from July 7 to August 24, 2025). It targets outstanding high school and university students who are passionate about artificial intelligence, social research, and digital mental health. The fellowship aims to develop open-source tools and socially impactful projects, supported and guided by global experts.
Fellowship Focus Areas
The fellowship centers on issues with direct impact on the digital community, including:
Building AI tools for digital safety
Creating databases on psychological harm on social media
Designing digital campaigns to raise emotional awareness
Developing data-driven educational apps and tools

Full funding (no participation fees required)
$1,250 stipend for each participant
Certificate of participation and 120 hours of certified community service
Hands-on training and mentorship by experts in tech and research
Opportunity to work on real-world projects affecting digital mental health
Remote participation is possible (open to global applicants)
Eligibility criteria
Age: Between 15 and 24 years old
High school students (11th or 12th grade) or university students
Availability of around 20 hours per week during the program
For the Tech Track: Prior programming experience is required
For the Research & Impact Track: Preferred skills in writing, communication, or social media
Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
