Opportunity description
The Regional Bureau for Arab States (RBAS) is seeking a data-savvy online volunteer to analyze project and results data across their regional portfolio. Anchored in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, this online opportunity requires 11 to 15 hours per week for a duration of 4 weeks. Please note that this is a fully free volunteer opportunity with no application or participation fees charged by the United Nations.
Duties & responsibilities
Analyze project and results data across the RBAS regional portfolio.
Map projects to RBAS Regional Programme Outcomes and UNDP Strategic Plan Outcomes.
Clean, organize, and structure datasets for analysis.
Build a dynamic Excel dashboard using pivot tables, charts, and filters.
Visualize portfolio-level insights such as outcome coverage, trends, overlaps, and gaps.
Create short, clear guidance on how to navigate and update the dashboard.
Eligibility criteria
Background in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, charts, and dashboards.
Analytical mindset with an enjoyment of working with data and finding patterns.
Interest in development work, results frameworks, or impact measurement.
Working knowledge of the English language.
Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines.
