Opportunity description
UNV offers a volunteer opportunity as a Data management program support officer in the State of Palestine starting from 04/12/2023 for 6 months with the possibility of extension. This assignment is part of the Health Systems Strengthening and WHE Emergency program. The function aims to support both programs in their data management function through data collection, collation and compilation, validation, providing analytical insights and supporting in drafting documents as well as supporting the ongoing collaboration with the partners.
Duties & responsibilities
- Collate and compile data and information from various sources.
- Check and Validate the quality of collected data.
- Support in drafting reports, fact sheets, all relevant WHO documents.
- Support WHO in program implementation.
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Health and partners.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in data Management, Health Management, data analysis, MIS, economics, or a related area.
- Expertise in Health, Information technology, Economics, and Finance.
- 3 years of experience in excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, and reporting skills.
- Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing.
- Familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development.
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; and familiarity with database management.
- Sound security awareness.
- Teamwork and respect for diversity.
- Commitment to implementing the goal of gender equality.
- Commitment to continuous learning.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
- Effective organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to establish priorities and to plan, coordinate, and monitor (own) work.
- Good spoken and written communication skills.
Please note: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment and be aged 27 - 80.
