UNV offers an online volunteer opportunity in the field of Data processing for a period of 12 weeks. It needs six volunteers to contribute to data research and analytics, organizing a large dataset to track the various variables used in UNDP's health investment cases. Upon completion of the assignment, you will receive a Certificate of Appreciation for your contribution.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Contribute to data research and analytics, organizing a large dataset to track the various variables used in UNDP's health investment cases.
- Support with initial economic modeling and may be involved in other data collection and modeling tasks, such as troubleshooting Excel-based models in the event of unexpected results.
- Develop initial economic models, such as a model assessing the gender impact of health taxation and tobacco control, using Excel, Stata, or R, depending on your preferred software.
- Depending on your skills, abilities, and interests, they may assist UNDP economists with ongoing projects related to health taxes, road safety, neglected tropical diseases, and other health topics.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience in economic modeling and data analytics.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in statistics, economics,, finance, or a relevant field.
- Highlighting previous modeling experience and Excel skills in the application.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Ability to work 11 - 15 hours per week.
