Opportunity description
UNDP - Nature for Development team is looking for two online volunteers to support the development of a number of documents between reports, briefings, and technical guides related to the project Mapping Nature for People and Planet, a nature-based planning and mapping initiative that involves the mapping of Essential Life Support Areas (ELSA) in 12 pilot countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Provide support to the team with the design and formatting of workshop reports, science briefs, and technical guides in Word and/or Canva.
- Liaising with the core team via email and formatting 2 documents of about 20-30 pages in length each in English, Spanish, or French.
- Have the opportunity to build connections with the Nature for Development team at UNDP and be part of a team of designers, as well as learn about the ways in which spatial data can support the achievement of countries’ sustainable development goals.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Fluent in English.
- Fluency in Spanish and/or French.
- Experience in graphic design tools such as Canva.
- Responsive via email and willing to work with a team of other UNVs.
- Ability to work 6 - 10 hours/ week.
