Online Volunteer in the Field of Health Awareness and Fundraising with United Nations Volunteers (UNV)

UNV offers an online volunteer opportunity and announces its need for the efforts of 4 volunteers for 8 weeks to develop a fundraising proposal Anti-Jiggers Campaigns in Kenya. Communities are facing jiggers manifestations in Western Kenya affecting women and children both in schools and communities so it is looking for four persons to assist write and advice on fighting these problems.

You will be responsible for:

• Develop a fundraising concept proposal.
• Share innovative fundraising ideas.
• Research potential donor organizations and funding opportunities.
• Help draft letters and correspondence.
• Write project proposals.
• Advise on how to approach donors.

You must have:

• A commitment to social justice.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to work 6 - 10 hours per week. 
• Some knowledge/experience with fundraising/developing fundraising strategies.
• Previous records on doing the same will be an added advantage.
