Opportunity description

UNV offers an online volunteer opportunity and announces its need for the efforts of 2 volunteers to develop video content for the pilot training course in one of the partner countries within the framework of the European Union’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence (CoE) Initiative. You will produce video injects and develop scenarios focused on real CBRN cases to simulate realistic training scenarios.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:
  • Creating Video Injects:
  • Produce a short video based on a real or fictitious scenario to be used during the training activities.
  • Ensure the video injects align with the objectives of the training course.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Edit and finalize video/s injects/s to be used in training modules.
  • Drafting Script:
  • Write script/s in collaboration with subject matter experts for each video inject and scenario.
  • Include key points that need to be addressed during the training.
  • Review and Feedback:
  • Participate in review sessions and preparatory meetings to gather feedback from stakeholders.
  • Make necessary adjustments based on the feedback to improve the quality of the videos.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the training team to understand the specific needs and objectives.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Regional Coordinator to provide updates on progress and receive guidance.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Proficiency in video production, including scriptwriting, filming, and editing.
  • Knowledge of or experience in creating training materials or educational content.
  • Ability to develop scenarios based on real-life situations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with subject matter experts.
  • Previous experience in producing instructional or simulation-based videos is advantageous.
  • English, Level: Mother tongue.
  • Ability to work 11 - 15 hours per week.
