The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) invites everyone who is passionate about sustainable development goals to an online volunteer program entitled; Digital Strategy and Content Creation for Social Media. This volunteering program will take place for 12 weeks (6 - 10 h per week) and is centered on assisting the Communications and Knowledge Management Section (CKMS) belonging to UN ESCAP Thailand in discharging a range of tasks related to strategic communications, and digital outreach through social media accounts to raise the organization’s visibility.
Duties & responsibilities
Under the direction of the Social Media Coordinator, you are expected to contribute to:
- Conducting research on social media trends for various platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and proposing a content strategy for each platform.
- Propose content, draft content calendar and types of content to be produced to promote ESCAP's work.
- Propose video strategy and support the production and editing of videos for social media (including Instagram reels) about recent research findings and work of the ESCAP.
- Explore and propose potential digital outreach initiatives to raise the online visibility of ESCAP.
- Support the design of general multimedia content for ESCAP’s social media channels.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Experience in digital communication and content creation in English.
- Experience in creating and managing multimedia content for social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
- Experience in developing communication strategies and preparing communication plans for various social media platforms.
- Video editing and graphic design skills, Adobe suite, Final Cut (or similar), CupCut, and Canva.
