Funded Volunteer for Youth from the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) in Germany

European Solidarity Corps invites Youth to a volunteer opportunity that has been launched with the title; Youth Club Eco-House in Leipzig, during the period 01/03/2023 to 29/02/2024 for a total of 52 weeks. The "eco-house“ combines youth work with gardening and nature. But ESC also wants to develop the house as open meeting places for naturalists, a nature adventure garden, with youth programs and project days to heighten awareness of natural habitat. This is a unique chance for children and young people to strengthen their social skills and develop their skills in natural science, art, and the environment. 

Activity Topics:

• Environment and natural protection
• Education and training
• Creativity and culture

You will be responsible for:

• Working in the eco-house with young people, in the garden area, and on different projects.
• Besides daily gardening, there are special nature youth activities that you can be supported or created. 
• Helping in nature education projects.
• At the Youth Club, you will support youth and staff in designing and carrying through leisure activities on a daily basis as well as special projects which have a longer duration. as well as special projects that take a longer duration.
• You shall bring aspects of your own country into the work, eg music, games, sports, language, cooking, or handicraft.

You should have:

• Interest in working with youth.
• Interest in working in nature, you should like working and being outside, working with wood, plants...).
• Open-mindedness and self-initiative. 

Please note: Measles & Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory.

Training during the Activity:

• Two seminars.
• There will be realized several project days towards topics of Europe / mobility in Europe for all ESC volunteers.
